RSCC Points

IIf you were looking for a reason to join our club, maybe the thoughts of winning your class and receiving a year-end trophy is the answer. Awards are given for "Class" as well as "PAX" and "Overall". In this way the club is acknowledging it's most competitive drivers.

To be eligible for the end of the year class trophies, you must run in that class at least 3 times as a dues paid member during the year (one event grace period on past points).

At each event, points are awarded as follows:

Class Points:
Get 3 points for your paid entry and you also receive 1 point for every car that you beat, including cars that receive a DNS (did not start).

Overall Points:
Overall points are calculated for each event using the "Modified Base 8" Method, as explained in the following table.

2008 Pax Points:

The PAX/RTP index is a "Racers Theoretical Performance"

This Index was developed by Rick Ruth and reflects study of results from over 200 nationwide Solo II events including, the Tire Rack® Solo II National Championships, National Tour, Chicago Region, Great American Solo Series, Houston Region, Midwest Divisional Series, Milwaukee Region, New England Region, Northwest Region, Northern New Jersey Region, Oregon Region, Philadelphia Region, Southeast Divisional Series, San Francisco Region, San Diego Region, South Jersey Region, St Louis Region, Tri-State Sports Car Council, Texas Region, Wisconsin Autocrossers Inc., and several others.

The PAX factors are derived from comparisons of the best drivers in the different open SCCA classes in a selected series of events. Thus a PAX factor is a sort of handicap with a PAX of 1.000 being for the fastest class of cars (A-Modified). Use the table below to find the PAX factor for your car's class. The official PAX Web Site contains both present and past PAX factors.

Our points for the PAX are calclated by taking your PAX index time and subtracting the fastest PAX index time.
multiplying that number times 100 then subtrating that number from 1000 which is the highest points that you can receive.
1000-((your PI - fastest PI) x 100)
